With Labour Students in the Community, our members go out and make a difference in their local area, campaigning not just on wider political issues but also on making people's lives better.
It's at the heart of our Labour values that people should be treated with dignity, tolerance and respect, and that everyone has the right to feel safe, secure and happy in their home and in their neighbourhood.
That's why Labour Clubs up and down the country work on and off campus to improve their community.
In Cardiff, for example, the university's Labour Club held a day of action in Cardiff North, touring notorious sites for litter and fly-tipping, clearing playgrounds and fields of glass, as well as cleaning up alleyways used by pedestrians near a local school.
And in Glasgow, Scottish Labour Students restored an old people's home, cleaning the exterior and clearing up the grounds.
On campus, too, Labour Students campaigns for the welfare of students - be it for better healthcare advice and facilities, or safer routes to and from university including better street lighting and visible policing in areas where students are vulnerable.
