LABOUR STUDENTS AND UNISON LAUNCH LIVING WAGE CAMPAIGN

Labour Students are very excited to announce that UNISON and Labour Students will join forces in their campaign for a living wage across all Universities and Colleges.

UNISON, who already have an active Living Wage campaign in operation across the UK, have joined forces with Labour Students to help Labour Students achieve their goal to eradicate poverty at educational institutions across the UK.

Labour Students National Chair, Olivia Bailey, said:

"I am delighted that UNISON are working with us in this important campaign. UNISON are the biggest Union representing low paid workers on University and College campuses and we are thrilled that they will be working with us nationally and locally to help win a Living Wage. It is vital that the trade union movement is at the heart of our campaign for a Living Wage, and we are looking forward to working with UNISON closely over the coming year."

UNISON Political Officer, Julian Cooke, said:

"We are pleased to work with Labour Students on their Living Wage campaign. We are already supporting members across the country to fight for a Living Wage, and we are glad to be able to be working on this important and timely campaign with Labour Students."
