Getting involved in your students' union

As well as being active in NUS, Labour Students are actively involved in student unions up and down the country. We support our members to stand in elections, run campaigns and get fully involved in their unions.

A great way to get more involved is to stand for election to a part-time role that you do voluntarily alongside your studies, for example representing a liberation group or perhaps being a course rep. Elections are often held at the start of the academic year so keep an eye out!

Lots of Labour Students then go on to take on a full time role as a sabbatical officer - you can read more about how we support sabbatical officers here.

If you're planning to run make sure you involve your Labour Club in planning and running your campaign. They're an excellent source of experienced campaigners and will be invaluable source of support.
