Campaign with us to Keep Rents Affordable
In 2006, rent in Oxford had increased by around 35% in the previous five academic years. Rent in the South East as a whole had increased by less than 10% in the same period. Many colleges in Oxford continue to increase their rents unreasonably, which is harming all students.
Last year, Andrew Smith, Labour's MP for Oxford East, took the matter to Parliament by presenting a petition in the House of Commons.
Campaign with us to call on the Vice-Chancellor of Oxford, and heads of colleges, to make sure that rents are kept affordable so that all may benefit from their time at Oxford with no financial hardship.
